Os Tucanos passaram 29 anos na Esquadrilha da Fumaça; aeronaves chegam a 448 km/h

A última apresentação da aeronave T-27 Tucano na Esquadrilha da Fumaça irá acontecer neste domingo (29/3), às 16h, sobre o Lago Paranoá. As acrobacias do esquadrão devem ser feitas entre o Pontão e o Pier 21.
A aeronave passou 29 anos se apresentando com a esquadrilha. Ao total, foram 2.363 apresentações, tanto no Brasil quanto no exterior (EUA, Canadá, França, Alemanha, Inglaterra, Honduras, entre outros países).
A T-27 foi produzida pela Embraer para vigilância, ataque leve e treinamento. A princira apresentação foi em dezembro de 1983.
As aeronaves serão substituídas pelos A-29 Super Tucano, aeronaves de caça usadas pela Força Aérea Brasileira. Os aviões têm o dobro da potência dos antigos Tucanos. Os antigos aviões chegavam a 448km/h, e o Super Tucano vai até 590km/h.
