Foi lançada neste domingo a mascote dos Jogos Mundiais Militares Rio 2011. Até o dia 30 de setembro, quem quiser, poderá participar da votação que escolherá o nome do Super Atleta Militar Futurista, no site oficial do evento: www.rio2011.mil.br
A personagem foi elaborada pelo desenhista Maurício de Souza, criador da Turma da Mônica. A inspiração teve por tema central a paz por meio do esporte. Assim, usando o símbolo mágico da pomba branca, um menino se transformou em um Super Atleta Militar Futurista.
São três as opções de nome para o super atleta: Arion (de origem Grega, significa: O que tem Energia), Super Pax (do Latim, Paz e o Super, por ser um Super Atleta) ou Turi (de origem Tupi-guarani, significa: Tocha).
O Super Atleta ainda é acompanhado por uma tropa de paz: formada por quatro outros soldados.
